Pick up times are 8:45 am and 9:15 am.

Complimentary pick-up and drop-off at selected hotels within the Kuala Lumpur city to the tour departure point. Participants are to make their own way to the departure point or to the selected pick-up point to avail the complimentary pick-up. Pick-up and drop-off service outside the designated pick-up point is available with a surcharge.

Please indicate which hotel you are staying at the time of booking and we shall advise you the nearest and most convenience pick-up point for the tour and applicable pick-up surcharge.

Pick-up time is between 30 -45 minutes from the departure time and your actual pick-up time will depend on the location of your hotel and traffic condition.

Cancellation policy

The fee for cancellation 72 hours or more prior to departure date - 20 %; between 48 and 24 hours prior to departure date - 50 %; and within 24 hours prior to departure date - 100 % of tour cost. In the case of no-show, 100 % of the total amount will be chargeable.

No refund or discount will be given in part or full for any items not utilised either by choice or due to circumstances once the tour has commenced.

Children policy

Children below three years of age are allowed to join the tour for free, but must travel with an adult.

Kuala Lumpur Cultural & Heritage Tour

Kuala Lumpur is a mixture of colourful cultures - predominantly Malay, Chinese and Indian. This tour will provide insights about the history of each of them.

Chan See Shu Yuen Clan House used to be the original house of the Chinese Chan Association in 1896.  It used to be a welcome refuge to Chinese immigrants who were new to Malaysia. The design of the Temple is inspired by the Chan Family Ancestral temple in Guangzhou and the construction, beginning in 1987, lasted a decade. At the entrance of the temple, there are two fierce-looking stone lions greeting visitors. The curved ceramic green tiles set a wave-like pattern, gave it the name of The Green Temple.  It is one of the most beautiful Chinese Temples in Kuala Lumpur with its woodwork and images of dragons and phoenixes and Chinese symbols like lotuses, peaches and plums.

Sri Maha Mariamman Temple is the oldest and richest temple in Kuala Lumpur, a world of burning incense, chanting and delicately carved deities. This temple was built in 1968 to worship Goddess Mariamman, as she is regarded the protector of all Indians overseas. Sri Maha Mariamman Temple has a fascinating 22.9 m high 5-tiered pyramid shaped tower, adorned with 228 Hindu Gods and Goddesses. The temple itself is built in the shape of a prone body with its head towards the west and the feet towards the east; and in accordance to Hindu tradition, it is consecrated every 12 years.

China Town or Chi-Chong-Kai, as the local Chinese call it, is a fun place to shop and eat.  Close to Chinatown is Central Market, a 120-year-old building which houses a shopping centre for Malaysian handicrafts and art. Kebaya, Songket, and Batik are abundantly available there. In addition, many colourful Malaysian traditional cultural and art events are held at the outdoor stage of the building. Central Market is considered one of the historic landmarks of Kuala Lumpur.

The Sze Yeh Temple is another Chinese temple that this tour will cover, and is believed to be the oldest Chinese temple in China Town. The other stops on the tour are Masjid Jamek, the Friday Mosque of Kuala Lumpur, and Sultan Abdul Samad Building, another of Kuala Lumpur's old landmarks.

Participants are picked up from selected hotels, and taken to visit the Chan See Shu Yuen Clan House, China Town, Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, Central Market, Sze Yeh Temple, Jamek Mosque and Sultan Abdul Samad Building. This unique tour is an experience of all the major cultures that make up Malaysia. Participants are dropped off at the selected hotel at the end of the tour.

Other disclosures

A non-refundable deposit of 20 % is required for bookings made more than 72 hours prior to departure date. Full payment is required at least 48 hours prior to departure date.

All confirmed bookings will be automatically cancelled in instances where the full payment is not received and cleared. Any re-instatement of bookings will be subject to availability.
